British Pipeband Championships

One of the biggest events in world piping (and also in our diary!) continued its three-year run in Paisley on Saturday 18th May, this spectacular event saw over 4,000 of the world’s finest pipers and drummers descend on St. James’ playing field, competing for some of the most prestigious titles in world bagpiping. With Highland dancing, strong man competition and a food village, this was a huge event not to be missed.

Alliance were on site to cover this huge scale event with three different vehicles, including our impressive 4×4 and two fully-equipped ambulances with bariatric facilities. Due to the large site were located in areas of high-footfall, as well as highly accessible areas of the event, meaning we were always on hand and ready to dispatch within seconds. With any large scale event, our presence was reassuring both to our client and to visitors at the event, who often stopped to say hello or ask for directions!

The event was a huge success, despite grey skies, thanks to the great collaborative effort from the event organisers, suppliers and other emergency services that worked alongside Alliance to deliver a day that was both safe and fun for all.
